The opening scene of The Wanderer.
The world is vast and wild, with looming mountains and a sprawling forest of pine stretching as far as the eye can see. Nestled among the trees is an idyllic wooden cabin, all but hidden by the encroaching forest, perched above the valley.
Inside, the scent of burning wood mingles with iron. Maps and old artefacts cover the walls. One man stands before the fire. Another lies wounded on the sofa, trying to understand how he came to be there.
The stranger kneels beside the dying flames and begins to speak.
“You may not know why you are here. But I do.”
